The GPNWRTC conducts Hunt tests
under the rules and
regulations of the
AKC Hunt Test program and is
licensed by the American
Kennel Club.
Happy New Year from the Greater Pacific! Hopefully everyone had a great Holiday, and a successful hunting season. Even though the hunting season is not quite done yet, it's about time to start looking forward to some dog training and our Spring and Summer schedule.
The club's Annual Member Dinner and Meeting will be February 4th at the Yun Wah restaurant in Woodburn. If you're interested in attending, please let one of the Board members know so we can get a rough attendance count. Hope to see you there!
Our first Picnic Test of the year will be on March 3rd at St. Louis Ponds in Gervais. We'd like to invite everyone out to run your dog and have a good time. We'll have live flyers and the cost will be $15 per dog for members and $30 per dog for non-members.
Later in the month, we will be holding our first AKC Hunt Test of the year. It will be March 24th-25th at St. Louis Ponds in Gervais. Information on the test, and how to enter, can be found at Entry Express (see link below).
These
events are a great way to meet others with the same interest in
retriever training, so do yourself a favor and check them out.
They can sometimes be manpower intensive, so anyone willing to help out
is gladly accepted.
